PRINCIPAL MESSAGE
“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” – Albert Einstein
Welcome to the website of Aul College, Aul, Odisha.
As you navigate your way through the site, discovering what we have to offer, you will find answers to many of the preliminary questions you may have about our college, our academic programmes, and student life.
As the Principal of the college, I feel honored and privileged to be part of an educational institution where every stakeholder is a learner and every day is an opportunity to learn and discover. We see ourselves as a community of learners—students, teachers, parents, and staff—growing together through shared experience and reflection.
I believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to understand and improve the educational process using collaborative strategies, with a strong focus on student achievement.
Our staff fruitfully employs two essential approaches—Love and Logic—to foster a positive learning environment for all our students. Love nurtures trusting relationships where students feel respected, appreciated, and cared for by their teachers. Logic, on the other hand, helps develop personal responsibility, self-control, good decision-making skills, self-confidence, and character building grounded in high moral values.
At Aul College, learning is a collaborative journey between home and college. We strongly believe that the more robust this partnership is, the more our students will benefit. While this website provides information and answers to many of your questions, we also understand that learning is inherently social. Therefore, we warmly encourage you to visit us in person for a more detailed and personal interaction.
I look forward to working together with parents and guardians as we continue building a college where they are always welcome, students are engaged in meaningful learning, and staff members are valued and appreciated for their dedication.
Our students are indeed blessed to receive an education at a college known for its healthy, harmonious environment and rich values that have shaped the future of countless individuals. Our mission is to transform students into rational thinkers, competent workers, law-abiding citizens, and spiritually enlightened individuals.
It is my firm belief that the rich values and traditions imbibed at Aul College will carry our students to even greater heights.
It is also a matter of pride that the college was awarded a 'B' Grade in NAAC Accreditation (2nd Cycle) in 2016. This achievement was made possible by the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the hard work of our dedicated staff and students, under the guidance of a visionary management.
With a proud legacy of over 45 years, the college has excelled in all areas. Our alumni have carved a niche for themselves in various fields at both national and international levels.
In today’s competitive world, it is vital to be equipped with the right knowledge, habits, values, and attitudes for holistic development. Our co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, organized by various departments and societies, foster creative and critical thinking. These activities also instill moral values, compassion for nature, pride in Indian culture and heritage, and a strong sense of civic responsibility—ultimately shaping confident, responsible leaders and compassionate human beings.
I firmly believe that Aul College nurtures versatile personalities through the continuous process of teaching and learning.
It has now been two years since I began my journey as Principal of this institution. It has been an enriching experience, filled with challenges and opportunities for learning and growth. I sense growing optimism, energy, and teamwork among our community—a strong foundation for a new era of progress.
At the same time, we are deeply aware of the magnitude of our aspirations and the distance yet to be covered. We have co-created a shared vision and taken it to all our stakeholders. Through this process, we’ve refined our goals and aligned our actions, ensuring our ambition stays grounded in our capacity.
We’ve also taken several forward-looking initiatives, including prioritizing faculty development, which emerged as a key focus area during our annual retreat. I am proud to say we have made substantial progress in this direction.
With blessings and warm wishes,
Dr. Gyanindra Dash
Principal, Aul College, Aul
